Did you know your library card can take you even further?
If you live in a library service district and have a valid card from one of our partner libraries, like Goshen, Middlebury, Elkhart, Bremen, and others, you can get a Reciprocal Borrower Card at the Nappanee Public Library for free!
A Reciprocal Card lets you borrow physical items from NPL, giving you even more access to books, movies, and more. It’s a great way to use the library in the community where you work, shop, or visit, while still keeping your home library card active.

What Are the Restrictions?
Reciprocal Cards are a great addition, but they do have a few limits to keep in mind:
- No access to eMedia or online databases
- No interlibrary loans or holds
- No borrowing Wi-Fi hotspots
- Valid only at NPL
How to Get a Reciprocal Card at NPL
- Bring your home library card
- Show a valid photo ID and proof of address
- Be in good standing with your home library
Reciprocal Cards are valid for one year and can be renewed.
